about

This, my first collection of new material to be exposed to the public's censure and/or clemency since 1985, is actually something of an old-school concept album, my theme the history of the republic from just before the inception of the protracted Reaganite Dark Age to the present moment, which — though obviously still much inflected by the strange and savage sentimentalism of Dutch and his ilk — shows some signs of being burgeoningly peopled by folk possessed of a sturdy propensity for the shaking off of all manner of nocent yokes. That listeners might be enabled better to track the sometimes profligate amount of conceptual filigree exhibited in the lyrics, a PDF-format document with all the usual furniture of a CD booklet is included as a bonus item, the object being to render my squeaks and burbles at least a little less opaque. I hope the experience here proffered proves agreeable. Vale. -- K.McF.D.
